the Zebra stipes that is! Hunters grandmother ordered her cake and told me that she LOVED Zebra stripes! Hunter had never had a cake that was specially made just for her. But she has now, thanks to Peace of Cake!! Happy Birthday Hunter!!

Bright & Colorful

Kayla is now 19. Her Dad, James, and I have worked together for almost 5 years. When he told me that she liked bright and colorful, I had the perfect, simple design in mind! Pink cake with green zebra stripes and purple to trim it out!! She loved it and from what I hear, the cake was demolished!

The BIG ONE!

Adalyn turned the big ONE! Kids grow up so fast and it seems that the first year goes by the quickest!! I knew her Mom, Lacey, wanted this to be a special birthday, so a special cake and Smash cake she got!!

Monkey Business

Ok. I'm going to be straight up with this cake. No holding back.
Caleb wanted a monkey cake, and what Caleb wants, Caleb gets. Well......sorta. This is the only cake that I have been so disapointed in. I hated it, but I bit the nail and delivered it. Justin & Jennifer (Caleb's parents) really liked it. Honestly to me, it looks like a Bear. I worked on this cake for hours....trying to get the ears right, trying to get the nose right, working with the mouth and nostrils until I was trying the same things over and over. Just because I thought it looked odd, I guess doesn't mean its horrible. I talked to Jennifer and she said that Caleb really loved his Monkey Cake. Good thing he did!!!

Sweet & Simple...

is sometimes nice. My Mom ordered this cake for a friend at church. Glenda teaches Sunday School at my parents church. Mom let me have free reign, but told me to keep it simple and do something with pink. I think I minded well!! :)

Heeeyyyy Batter Batter...

The heat is on batter batter! Noah turned 4 and had his birthday party on the hottest day of the year. The house was hot, the car ride to Noah's house was hot....it was just HOT! The Texas Ranger cake survived the ride for the most part. Melted some, but still Noah loved the cake!! Heard he had a pool party, good thing!!

46 years and counting...

Joe & Flo Corne recently celebrated 46 years of marriage! They are a very special couple and are members of my parents church. So when my Mom asked me to do this I couldn't say yes fast enough!
Joe has been very sick, but I know this really made their day. Flo called to tell me Thank You and told me that it was just too pretty to cut into!
So, Happy Anniversary Joe & Flo........and many more, in the words of my Dad!
