make you a birthday cake? Nothing fancy, just a simple round cake covered in Buttercream and Fondant. I couldn't let my Mom's special day go by without a cake! Afterall, my Mom is the most loving, kind hearted woman you will ever meet! She often takes care of everyone elses needs before hers. This was the least that I could do!! I think my cake came a close 2nd to her Snuggie she got as a gift :).
But its special. Special because this was my very first cake and it was a surprise for my Grandma's 86th birthday. This was my first rodeo working with fondant and stacking cakes. I didnt have all the tools that I have now, and just worked with what I had. Grandma LOVED her cake and still talks about it being her favorite to this day! Who knew that this very cake would be the first of many. And I have to say that my work has gotten better each and every time!
Ive been racking my brain on so many different things lately, and this is where I ended up. Creating a blog account. All in one day, Ive changed my cake business name to Peace of Cake, got a waaay cool logo and created this! I will hopefully be loyal to blogging, and posting a story and a picture of every cake, cupcake and cake roll-up I make. Even if its just a trial run! Eventually I will have my price list ready to post as well. So stay tuned....lots of yummies are headed your way!!
